Johanna is an independent illustrator who creates fantastic worlds and characters inspired by nature and technology. She also draws concepts for video games, such as the point-and-click adventure Nordlicht or the simulation game Good Company.

She primarily works digitally, but her artistic roots are in watercolour and oil painting. Soft, playful colours and lines and a dreamy atmosphere are common to all her paintings.

Especially popular are Johanna's cute fruit and vegetable characters, the Grunlings. The friendly nature spirits are protectors of the gardens and prove to be useful helpers if you manage to befriend one of them.
Some product highlights with the Grunlings are a seasonal calendar, colourful tea towels fridge magnnets and the brand new turnip plushie.
