Application for a fanbooth

The application period for DoKomi 2027 will run from 8:00 PM on November 7, 2026, to 11:59 PM on December 20, 2026. Applications can be submitted via our exhibitor portal- LINK during this time.

Applications received after this time will be placed on an internal waiting list.

DoKomi 2027 will take place from July 9-11 at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds and the adjacent Congress Center Süd. In 2026, we utilized over 235,000 m² of space, occupying not only Congress Center Süd but also exhibition halls 1, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 16, and 17. Each hall features a distinct theme, providing space for a wide variety of program items and activities.

The venue is further enhanced by the adjacent Nordpark, which offers diverse photo opportunities. It also benefits from Düsseldorf's unique status as home to Europe's third-largest Japanese community and a multitude of Japanese companies.

Discounted rates apply to fan booths, as we aim to support smaller artists and projects and provide them with a platform at DoKomi. Consequently, applications are open exclusively to artists offering their own original works and products, as well as individuals, groups, and organizations from the fan and community sectors. The following fan booth categories will be available at DoKomi:

• Authors (Book Nook)
• Community projects (see below)
• Cosplay
• Crafting
• Creators
• Fashion
• Illustrators/Artists

The Community category includes, but is not limited to, the following types of participants:

• Conventions
• Online blogs
• Fan communities & local fan meetups (including thematically relevant Discord servers)
• Gaming communities
• German-Japanese associations
• Projects focusing on aspects of Japanese culture
