The drawing competition is one of the most popular competitions at DoKomi. Here you have the chance to showcase your talent, improve your skills, and let your imagination run wild. Traditionally, the winners receive high-quality prizes from our sponsors – and, of course, the great honor of having their artwork presented on the Black Stage and exhibited at DoKomi!

This year, we're looking to the future-a positive, sustainable, and bright future. But solarpunk is more than just green energy and futuristic architecture: it's the vision of a post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed the cities and people have learned to live in harmony with it.
Instead of high-gloss technologies or bleak cyberpunk dystopias, solarpunk presents a hopeful alternative: overgrown houses with gardens; solar panels that look like flower petals; wind turbines interwoven with ivy; entire communities that combine nature and technology through creative solutions.
It's a future that blossoms from the ruins of the past-full of color, imagination, and optimism.
Draw a picture on the theme of solarpunk-and include one or more of our DoKomi mascots. Let them immerse themselves in this world.
Whether it's overgrown cities, fantastic machines or tranquil natural idylls - you decide which path your future takes.
All submissions will be reviewed by our jury. The winning works will be exhibited at DoKomi 2026 and presented during the grand awards ceremony on the Black Stage.
Participation Period: January 24, 2026 - April 12, 2026
We are already excited to see the visionary worlds you create - and look forward to your unique contributions!
Questions and answers about the competition
The Wacom Spotlight Award is a special prize that offers you the opportunity to collaborate with Wacom on a commissioned artwork for a future marketing campaign.
The Wacom Spotlight Award is awarded independently of the main jury's decisions. It recognizes an outstanding participant whose artistic style and creative vision are a particularly good fit for the Wacom brand and future projects in the field of anime and manga-inspired art. The winner will be invited to collaborate with Wacom on creating a commissioned artwork for a future Wacom marketing campaign. The scope, content, timeline, and compensation for the commissioned artwork will be determined separately in a written agreement between Wacom and the selected artist. Selection for this award does not guarantee publication, employment, or ongoing collaboration beyond the commissioned project.
Participation in this special category is voluntary, but requires that you are at least 18 years old and legally authorized to issue invoices. Simply indicate on the form whether or not you wish to participate.
